Westman Islands festival in uproar as bands pull out of line up

21 Jul 2016 Several big Icelandic bands have threatened to pull out of the popular Þjóðhátið festival in the Westman Islands which takes place on the bank holiday weekend at the end of July. The reason is a controversial statement by the local chief of police on sexual offences at the festival.
