Giggs, Blawan b2b Exos, Nadia Rose among new artists added to the Sónar Reykjavik 2017 line-up which already features Fatboy Slim, De La Soul, FM Belfast and Samaris to name a few. 

The music festival takes place at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik for the fifth year running from February 15th to 18th. 

The announcement from Sónar Reykjavik is as follows: 

Fresh from the release of his critically acclaimed new album and sold out show, the award winning British rap and grime artist Giggs is confirmed to headline the SonarHall stage at the closing night of Sónar Reykjavík 2017. We are also pleased to announce that Berlin based DJ and producer Blawan will be teaming up with Icelandic techno protagonist Exos for an exclusive two hour back to back session in the underground car-park of Harpa. As in previous years car-park will be transformed into the nightclub stage SonarLab where they'll be joining previously confirmed artists Ben Klock, Helena Hauff, B.Traits and a string of the best local DJs.

Rising star and the leader of a new wave of British female MCs Nadia Rose, local hip hop wonder Alvia Islandia, recent Kraumur awards winner GKR, local live sensation Sturla Atlas and Iceland's rave and techno veteran Frímann have also been added to the impressive line-up for Sónar Reykjavík 2017.

Sónar Reykjavík will take place across four stages at one of Europe's most unique concert venues, Harpa, against the magical backdrop of the Icelandic winter in the heart of Reykjavik. Fatboy Slim, Moderat, De La Soul, Sleigh Bells, GusGus, FM Belfast, Forest Swords, Sin Fang, Samaris and Tommy Genesis are among those confirmed for the main stages of SonarClub and SonarHall while Red Bull Music Academy will be presenting selection of trailblazing local and international talent at the seated SonarComplex.
