ÍSEY Skyr from MS Enters the Japanese Market

31 May 2018 On Tuesday 29 May, Icelandic dairy company MS signed a production and branding agreement for Ísey Skyr with Nippon Luna, a dairy company owned by Nippon Ham, which is one of Japan’s largest fresh and frozen food companies and the world’s fourth largest meat producer. Nippon Ham, which has an annual turnover of ISK 1300 billion, expects Ísey Skyr to strengthen the company’s standing in the Japanese dairy market.

5 Jan 2018 Lactalis, a French dairy company has bought Siggi's skyr, a company owned by an Icelander which sells skyr in 25 thousand stores in the US.

Smári Organics markets their skyr as Icelandic yoghurt, not skyr, although the product is actually skyr.
