If the girl had accepted the proposal, she would have become an English countess, as the man in question was the grandson of romantic poet Lord Byron.

300,000 more tourists to Iceland in 2016

10 Feb 2016 300,000 more tourists are expected to visit Iceland in 2016 than last year, with export revenue linked to tourism increasing significantly, according to new figures from Icelandic bank Landsbankinn.
