24 Apr 2024 The fact that tourists try to get too close to the eruption site at Sundhnúkagígar crater row is a problem that has also occurred in previous volcanic eruptions on the Reykjanes peninsula. However, no rescue teams have been called in connection with the current eruption, but it was noted that an attempt was made to drive a Dacia Duser car offroad in the area. That car is no longer in the lava field as we reported earlier.
