ADVENTURE! Explore Greenland from Iceland
North Iceland tour operator North Sailing has announced a brand-new tour concept for the 2017 Iceland summer season – an eight-day sailing and hiking expedition in East Greenland led by polar explorer Vilborg Arna.
Adventurers are flown from Iceland to the east coast of Greenland, where they are greeted by the beautiful two-mast schooner Hildur , which will convey its passengers through the spectacular fjord system of the area.
The team is guided by Vilborg Arna, an experienced Icelandic explorer and adventurer, through a week-long itinerary of hiking, mountaineering and exploring, rooting out the best Greenland has to offer. An experienced chef on board the schooner prepares the meals to keep those batteries fully charged!
There are only two departure dates available – 30 August and 6 September 2017 – with just ten places up for grabs on each journey, so book now to avoid disappointment!
The total price is ISK 570,000 (approx. €4,750; $5,050) including flights from Iceland to Greenland (flights to Iceland from your home country not included). The tour involves long days and strenuous activity, meaning adventurers must be in good physical condition and have prior hiking experience.
