A hotel on wheels
This summer, a hotel bus will be travelling around Iceland for the first time. The vehicle, called Routel tours, is a combination of a guided tour and sleeping accommodation for twenty people.
Two such buses will be travelling around the country, one offering the circle tour of Iceland and the second takes the Norræna ferry from Denmark to Seyðisfjörður in East Iceland and drives from there to Askja in the highlands and then takes a southern route.
Fares don't come cheap, the former trip costs 2,690 Euros and the second amounts to 2,790 Euros.
