Live footage: The lava going over the hot water pipe

A new camera on Mt Þorbjörn shows how the lava flow has reached the Njarðvík pipe, the hot water pipe system that supplies hot water from Svartsengi to the Suðurnes region.

Close to the plant, there are carriers for the Svartsengis-line, which lead electricity from the plant to the north of Reykjanes-town.

The camera was installed on Mt Þorbjörn and looks north over the power plant.
