Klevis Sula, a 20-year-old man who died of his injuries following a stabbing at Austurvöllur square a week ago had been attemptingg to help the attacker whom he found sobbing alone in the square. Instead, Sula was stabbed without any reason. 

Sula's friend came to his aid but was stabbed himself, but is recovering from his injuries.  Sula's mother appeared on Stöð 2 evening news last night. 

Police have arrested the suspect, an Icelander, and are using security camera footage as evidence. 

Sula had only stayed in Iceland for a few days before he was attacked but had spent a longer period of time here previously. 

"Klevis was a gentle, sweet boy. He came to Iceland to work and to have a better life," his brother Enea Sula said to Stöð 2.
