The city of Reykjavik has issued a warning asking people not to feed the ducks at lake Tjörnin in central Reykjavik. A great amount of nutrition for the algae in the lake in hand with the warm weather of the last week has started a rapid growth of algae, creating a layer on the surface of the water.

A group of runners in the 10 km Adidas Boost Run, which took place in Reykjavik last night, completed the race in record time were very pleased with themselves as many of them improved their personal record significantly. Until they found out the route was in fact only 8.7 km long.
