4.Iceland government considers new EU membership bid - The BBC

MPs will vote on whether to hold a referendum on EU membership, the three parties in the coalition said. Iceland began EU accession talks in 2010, while the country was still reeling from the 2008 financial crash.

5. The Reynisfjara tragedy - BILD

A German woman drowned at Reynisfjara beach on Monday, the third tourist death at this dangerous beach in the space of a few years.  The German papers picked up on the story. The woman's husband and two children were also caught in the waves but managed to get back to land.
