Air hostess injured in turbulent domestic flight

The last plane scheduled for Akureyri from Reykjavik last night was turned around shortly after taking off due to unexpected and violent turbulence. An air hostess received an injury to her knee in a bad fall during the incident.
"It was an unusual amount of turbulence and quite unexpected. The air stewards and stewardesses were serving drinks at the time. Passengers were unhurt but were offered treatment for trauma following the experience. They received a new ticket to Akureyri today and I think most of them accepted the offer," said managing director Árni Gunnarsson. "I think people generally find turbulence very uncomfortable, especially people who dislike flying."
