Most of Today’s Flights Canceled
Most international flights to and from Keflavík International Airport, scheduled this afternoon through 8 pm, have been canceled, due to inclement weather, mbl.is reports. The departure of Icelandair’s flight to Copenhagen, scheduled at 2 pm, was rescheduled an hour early.
The only airline that still hasn’t canceled its flights is Norwegian.
For all other airlines, the last flight departs at 1 pm and the last scheduled arrival is at 12:40 pm.
Air Iceland Connect has canceled its service to and from Akureyri, North Iceland, and Ísafjörður, the West Fjords. The evening flight to and from Egilsstaðir has been canceled as well. Eagle Air has canceled all flights today.
The forecast is for the stormy weather to continue trough tomorrow morning.
Icelandair has canceled all arriving flights from the US tomorrow morning, with the exception of the flight from Seatlle, scheduled at 6:10 am. Tomorrow’s departures, scheduled before 11 am, have been canceled as well.
At Keflavík International Airport, jetways cannot be used when wind speed exceeds 26 m/sec.
