People in the town of Egilsstaðir in East Iceland have been asked by city authorities to stop feeding the ravens. Ravens have become somewhat of a plague in the northern part of the town, keeping to the trees and lampposts and screeching all night long.

The East Iceland health authorities have been inundated with complaints about people feeding the ravens on the outskirts of town and their investigation shows that a great amount of food leftovers have been put outside for the ravens.

"We ask people to not feed the ravens. They are a wild animal and it's in their nature to find their own food."
