Flights from Iceland 23% cheaper than a year ago
Air fares from Iceland’s main international airport at Keflavík (KEF) are now 23% lower than in November 2015, according to new figures from flight search engine Dohop.
The average cost of a flight from KEF is currently ISK 43,122 (approx. €350), a couple of percentage points up from Dohop’s last price survey. But this is still around ISK 13,000 lower than a year ago.
For individual destinations, prices have either risen or fallen. New York is now 30% cheaper to travel to from Iceland than last year, with fares to Barcelona and Oslo also falling considerably.
Flights to other European cities are slightly more expensive than in November 2015, with Paris 18% more expensive.
