WOW air doubles passenger numbers in just one year

Passenger numbers at Icelandic low-cost airline WOW air are booming, according to latest figures for June 2016.

A total of 168,451 passengers flew with WOW air last month – double the number from just one year ago. Passenger load factors were 86%.

The airlines flight seat capacity also increased 97% year-on-year. Last month saw the airline launch brand-new services to no fewer than four new destinations: Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Nice and San Francisco.

So far this year, some 548,000 passengers have flown with WOW – 111% more than during the same period last year.
