US airline Delta has announced that from this year its New York-Reykjavik route will now be operated all year round.

According to Iceland travel and tourism website Turisti.is (link in Icelandic), flights have gone on sale for the entirety of the next winter season. Delta has hitherto operated the route only for an extended summer season.

As well as extending operations from New York to the whole year, Delta will be bringing a new route – Minneapolis-Reykjavik – online on 27 May.

Delta is the only non-European airport operating at Iceland’s main international airport at Keflavík (KEF) and the only airline to offer flat-bed seating on transatlantic flights to and from Iceland.
