Iceland cruise-ship season under way

The Magellan cruise ship arrived in Reykjavik yesterday morning, marking the official start of Iceland’s cruise season.

The ship has a capacity of 1,425 passengers and 650 crew. It is expected to depart from Iceland around midday today.

The next cruise arrivals are the Albatros and the Celebrity Eclipse – both on May 17.

There are 113 scheduled cruise-ship arrivals in Iceland this summer, bring a total of some 108,000 passengers.
