Website Makes Visiting Reykjavík Easy

Reykjavík City has launched a new website and online travel guide, which makes it easy for visitors to plan their visit to Reykjavík and vicinity.

The user-friendly website replaces an older one. It has been in preparation for nearly a year. Reykjavík and the neighboring communities are now all marketed as one, under the logo Reykjavík Loves Visitors.

The website is designed to enhance both the quality and availability of information to the user. It provides information regarding major tourist attractions in the capital area, cultural events, festivals, museums, swimming pools, and other recreational activities.

You can read all about the City Card, which gives you access to museums, pools, buses, the Family Park, the Viðey ferry, and more.

A convenient map of the area allows you to easily find attractions in a given neighborhood. 

In addition, you can find information on academic programs, conference options, currency, visas, the Icelandic language, Icelandic water – you name it.
