Man severely burned after falling into geyser
A tourist in his sixties fell into an 80 degrees C hot geyser yesterday at Flúðir, a geothermal area in South Iceland. He was transported by a National Coastguard helicopter to the National University hospital in Reykjavik and his condition is very serious.
He is badly burned on hands, chest and legs and is in intensive care.
No furher details of how the accident occurred have been released by police.
