Warning signs and chains at Dyrhóley in South Iceland are being completely disregarded by tourists to this popular site.

Henry Páll Wulff, marketing manager at Arctic Adventures took these photographs on Sunday.

"I was taking a group of tourists there on the weekend. The signs are clear and there's a part which is chained off because it's dangerous. But people simply disregard all warnings and all signs. They just want to get the perfect photo."

He adds that he has observed tourists disregarding the brand new warning signs at Reynisfjarða which is in several languages, and the same with Gullfoss and Jökulsárlón.
