The stars are coming out of the woodwork for Iceland’s big anniversary Eurovision year, with two previous winners of the international song contest already set to perform at Iceland’s national selection final.

Belgium’s Sandra Kim and Sweden’s Loreen will be performing live on 20 February at the final of Söngvakeppnin 2016, when the Icelandic people will choose their entry for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in Stockholm in May.

Loreen won Eurovision for Sweden in 2012 with her song Euphoria, in one of Eurovision’s most emphatic victories to date. Sandra Kim won for Belgium – at the tender age of 13 – with J’aime la vie back in 1986, the very year Iceland made its Eurovision debut.

You can see the winning performances from 1986 and 2012 and have a listen to the twelve songs fighting for the right to fly the Icelandic flag this year below.
