She underwent a masectomy immedately and started chemotherapy The treatment has gone well and seems not to have harmed her unborn child expected at the end of next month. 18 Feb 2015 Over 700 Icelanders are members of a Facebook group which offers drugs and weapons for sale. Many of the group members are college and even high school kids. Some of them are company directors and some are stay-at-home mothers. Among the drugs on sale are MDMA, cannabis and amphetamine as well as prescription drugs such as Ritalin and Contalgin. Police regularly investigate such pages with the help ofthe Facebook administration.

20 Jan 2015 The Scientific Advisory Board of the Civil Protection has issued a new factsheet of their studies for Bárðarbunga and Holuhraun. They predict three possible scenarios: an ongoing eruption at Holuhraun which could last for months, the volcanic fissure lenghening and causing a jokulhlaup or a volcanic eruption in the Bárðarbunga caldera leading to a major jokulhlaup accompanied by ashfall.

Strong winds and snowfall are expected in south-west Iceland this evening and through the night.

18 Jan 2015 According to the Icelandic met office, a blizzard is expected this evening and through the nght in the south-west of Iceland. Winds could go up to 23 meters per second and the weather will hit Reykjavík at around 10 p.m.
