Impact of Efling strikes on Strætó’s passengers in the capital area

Most bus drivers at Iceland Excursions are members of the Efling union and the pending strikes will therefore have a big impact on many bus routes in the capital area. 

The  following routes in the capital area will be impacted: 

12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 24, 28, 35 and 36. Small part of bus drivers at Hagvagnar are members of Efling union and the pending strikes might have impact on certain trips within the following bus routes; 11, 13, 22, 23, 31, 33, 34, 43 and 44.

This is how the pending strikes will look like: 23. - 29. March 2019, bus drivers will stop the bus for 5 minutes everyday at 16:00. Passengers may expect delays on the formerly mentioned bus routes

1. – 30. April 2019, Saturdays and Sundays excluded, bus drivers on the previously mentioned bus routes will stop working from 07:00-09:00 in the morning and 16:00-18:00 in the afternoon.

No bus driver at Strætó bs. are members in Efling union so the
previously mentioned actions will not affect the following routes; 1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 18.
