Blue Lagoon to Stay Open in Autumn

The Blue Lagoon will temporarily rehire 236 out of the 403 employees that were laid off at the end of May, mbl.is reports, referring to a written statement from Helga Árnadóttir, the company’s managing director of sales and marketing.

The company plans to keep the popular tourist destination open though the autumn months, albeit with limited operating hours. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Blue Lagoon remained closed for three months, from the end of March till the end of June.
