An Icelandair aircraft landed at Keflavík International Airport last night, carrying 18 tons of medical equipment from China, to be used in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, mbl.is reports.

Before landing, the pilots decided to honor healthcare workers by forming a heart with their flight path above the capital area. You can see its shape in the screenshot from Flightradar 24, above.

This was the third Icelandair flight to Shanghai, China, picking up medical supplies.

The previous two shipments weighed 17 and 16 tons, respectively. All the flights are charter flights, organized by Icelandair Cargo and Loftleiðir Icelandic, in cooperation with parties in the Icelandic health care sector and with DB Schenker.
