Reykjavík Gets Ready for Christmas: Video

Downtown Reykjavík looks more and more festive, in preparation for Christmas. A white snow cover surely fits the holiday season.

As in recent years, an ice rink has been installed by Nova, in cooperation with Reykjavík City, on Ingólfstorg square. The rink is open from noon till 10 pm through December 22 and an hour longer on December 23.

It is illuminated by ON Power with no less than 100,000 light bulbs. Admission is free, and equipment can be rented for ISK 1,190 per hour.
