Strætó Cancels Many Buses, Due to Weather

The blizzard in North and East Iceland today and the gale in Southeast Iceland affect bus schedules in these parts of the country.

Bus 51, Reykjavík-Höfn í Hornafirði:

The bus leaving Reykjavík at 1 pm will only drive as far as Hvolsvöllur.

The 11:55 am departure from Höfn to Vík has been canceled.

Bus 57, Reykjavík-Akureyri

The 10:15 am bus from Akureyri was canceled. Passengers are encouraged to follow announcements from Strætó regarding other potential trips today.

Bus 78, Siglufjörður-Akureyri

All buses have been canceled for today.

Bus 56, Akureyri-Egilsstaðir

All buses have been canceled for today.

Bus 79, Akureyri-Húsavík

Buses may be canceled. Please follow announcements from Strætó.
