Scammers Call WOW Ticket Holders
The credit card service company Valitor warns consumers of scammers, who in the wake of the bankruptcy of WOW Air last week have been calling customers, asking for their credit card information.
The scammers pretend to be calling on behalf of Valitor and claim to require the information to be able to speed up the refunding process for ticket holders, who had booked flights with WOW.
In a statement posted on the company’s website yesterday, customers are asked not to give out their credit card information to unknown parties who ask for them over the phone. Those who have received such phone calls are asked to notify Valitor at +354 525-2000. In the statement posted on its website, Valitor stresses that the company never calls customers to request their credit card information.
