Glacial outburst flood over says Iceland Met Office
A scientist at the Iceland Met Office says that looking at measurements in the river Skaftá that the flow of water has returned to normal. The glacial outburst flood is therefore over.
"It's back to normal when it's 140 cubic metres per second," said Hildur María Friðriksdóttir, expert in natural hazards at the Iceland Met Office.
According to the Iceland Road Administration roads escaped relatively undamaged.
