MORE: No Icelandic victims in Nice attack
“The victims of this attack were innocent people – families and friends – celebrating Bastille Day, a day dedicated to the classic ideals of liberty, equality and fraternity,” the presidential message reads.
“More than ever before, the peoples of the world need to foster unswerving solidarity in building a society of democracy and humanity, and not allow attacks of this kind to disrupt the basic values that the struggles of recent centuries have bequeathed to them.”
