Iceland’s Sigþórsson voted ‘Best Player of Euro 2016’
Icelandic striker Kolbeinn Sigþórsson has been voted ‘Euro 2016 Player of the Tournament’ by readers of Skysports.
Sigþórsson received some 34,000 votes, way ahead of the Euro 2016 top goal-scorer, France’s Antoine Griezmann.
Sigþórsson scored two goals for Iceland at Euro 2016 – the first was the winning goal in Iceland’s dramatic 2-1 victory over England, and the second against France in the quarter-finals.
