Iceland's terrifying Viking fan chant is actually Scottish
The chant which has become synonymous with the Icelandic fans at Euro 2016 has become quite a world sensation. But as Iceland Monitor just discovered, it's actually borrowed from Scotland.
Interestingly, it's also very much connected to the film 300, when 300 Spartans took on the Persian army shouting "hoo" and banging their spears to the ground.
