Lost tourist in “friendliest town in Iceland”
A hotel in North Iceland has latched onto the story of Noel Santillan, the American tourist whose satnav blunder took him on a journey 230 miles from his intended destination.
Sigló Hótel is in the northern town of Siglufjörður – the end destination of Santillan’s wild-goose chase – and styles the town “the friendliest town in Iceland”.
The video recalls Santillan’s now famous blunder, portraying it as a blessing in disguise – as it brought him to the “hidden treasure” of Siglufjörður and, presumably, Sigló Hótel.
