Five Icelandic companies are among those displaying at the “world’s leading education technology event”, the Bett Show, which got under way in London yesterday.

Founded in 1985, the Bett Show showcases the use of information technology in education and attracted over 35,000 visitors from 113 countries in 2014.

Five Icelandic companies, Appia, Mentor, Mussiland, reCode and Stúdía (under the aegis of Promote Iceland) are presenting for the first time at the show. Minister for Education, Science and Culture Illugi Gunnarsson will be visiting the Icelandic stand later today.

According to Trade Fairs Manager at Promote Iceland Berglind Steindórsdóttir, companies need to repeatedly attend the same event in order to make a mark and build trust among customers. Promote Iceland intends to fund participation for these companies for three years.
