Icelanders increase by 1 percent

The Icelandic bureau of statistics has published new population figures which show that on January 1st 2015 the total number of Icelanders was 329.100 which is an increase of 1 percent from the previous year.
In 2014, 4,375 children were born and 2,049 people died. People who moved from Iceland amounted to 5,875 but 6,988 moved to Iceland.
The most populated area of Iceland was Reykjavik with 121,822 citizens. Foreign nationals living in Iceland were 24,292 on January 1st 2015.
