Air-rage American arrested

An American tourist is currently sitting in an Icelandic prison cell after an air-rage incident on an Icelandair flight.

Police were called to meet a flight landing at Keflavík International Airport (KEF) yesterday evening. They arrested a man of American nationality who was under the influence of alcohol and had directed threatening behaviour at members of Icelandair cabin crew.

According to Suðurnes police, the man was arrested, cuffed and escorted off the aircraft. The individual in question will remain in custody until it is possible to talk to him. Once questioning is over, he will be free to continue in his journey.
