New Video of Fagradalsfjall Eruption

A new video from the Fagradalsfjall eruption, Southwest Iceland, was posted by Björn Steinbekk on mbl.is Wednesday. The eruption began March 19 – more than five months ago – and shows no signs of abating.

“During those five months, [I] have seen and recorded incredible changes in the vicinity, and the landscape is entirely different from what it was when [I] became one of the first people to visit the eruption site early morning on March 20^th.”

Björn states that what he finds the most fascinating about the eruption is its constant change, force and beauty. A lava field has replaced what used to be valleys in Geldingadalir valleys.
