Fabulous Flood of Fire: Video

Hikers at the eruption site by Fagradalsfjall, Southwest Iceland, saw a fascinating sight yesterday morning when a lava river came rushing down the slope in Nátthagi valley, mbl.is reports.

Luckily, Daníel Páll Jónasson caught this fiery flood on video.

For the past few days, there has been heavy fog in the area, keeping the eruption out of sight.

Take a look at this spectacular video. The flood of fire gushes down the slope – in colors of red, orange and yellow. It must be quite an inspiration for painters and poets.
