The five-minute-long panorama time-lapse video below gives you a chance to watch developments at the eruption site over a 24-hour period, starting at midnight, Friday night, a week ago, and continuing until 11:59 pm Saturday night.

Not only does the video provide a 220° view of the eruption and the bright red lava flow, but it clearly shows, too, how bright the nights are in summer and how beautiful the light is.
