Heavy snow pummels Iceland - yellow weather warning for large part of the country

Numerous roads closed last night due to heavy snowfall and stormy weather. Hellisheiði and Þrengsli have now reopened. A yellow weather warning is however still up for a large part of Iceland. 

Roads have been mostly cleared in Reykjavik although smaller streets may still be prove a difficult drive. People are urged to drive carefully
