A new hotel for Vík in South Iceland

A much coveted plot of land in Vík, Mýrdalur, South Iceland was alotted to Vilhjálmur Sigurðsson who plans on building a 60-100 room hotel there.
Construction is set to begin this spring. Vík is the southernmost village in Iceland. It's located near the famous Reynisfjara beach and is a popular stop for tourists.
Sigurðsson is one of the owners of car rental companies Avis and Budget.
