One such company is Adrenalin , based in Reykjavik and set up back in 1994. As well as running various day tours incorporating activities such as glacier walking, caving and biking, Adrenalin also owns and operates Iceland’s only high-rope course, Adventure Park .

The Adventure Park is located in the beautiful rift valley of Nesjavellir, a stone’s throw away from the Þingvellir National Park and World Heritage Site. This means park visitors can enjoy their exhilarating rope-course experience in a beautiful setting of fields, volcanos and hot springs.

The course is just a forty-minute drive from the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik and features 45 different obstacles at various heights – plus a climbing wall, giant swing, pamper pole and the longest ‘flying fox’ zip wire in Iceland.

The park is open 10am-5pm from May to September and transfers from Reykjavik are available.
