The Geysir hot spring area in South Iceland is now covered with a coat of very slippery ice. "I am not going to stand for watching my customers falling over again again," writes tour guide Hermann Valsson in a letter of complaint to The Environment Agency of Iceland.
Valsson is worried that a serious accident may occurr in the area as tourists slipslide all over the place. He has proposed to sand the area which was denied as the area is under environmental protection and sand is not allowed.
