Quality Water for Free

The Reykjavík City council has announced that drinking fountains have been installed throughout the city.
You can use them for quenching your thirst and for refilling your reusable water bottle. The quality of tap water is higher in Iceland than in most places of the world. Here is your chance to enjoy it, for free, thereby reducing plastic waste.
The drinking fountains have been installed at the same time as a new campaign by Inspired by Iceland has been launched to encourage tourists in Iceland to drink tap water instead of bottled water in an effort to cut down plastic use. See previous report.
