1. The Coocoo's Nest
Coocoo's Nest in the Grandi harbour area is a tiny restaurant situated in an old fish warehouse and owned by an Icelandic/ Californian couple. The cuisine at the Coocoo's Nest is inspired by California and they offer a fantastic San Francisco style brunch on weekends as well as the Italian version of happy hour, aperitivo.
2. Haust
A fairly new and very elegant restaurant in the Fosshótel hotel in Borgartún, the city's financial street. 4. Bergsson Mathús
Jamie Oliver's favourite place to brunch. Offers a cosy , relaxed atmosphere and healthy, home style and very delicious food. "Honest food" is how they describe their cooking and it's one of the most popular brunch spots for locals.
5. Kex Hostel
The wonderfully eclectic, laid-back Kex Hostel is a place you can literally hang out at all day and all night. Now they also offer a yummy brunch to suit all ages on weekends including things such as pancakes, egg on sourdough toast, sausages and their famous Freedom burger.
