Krispy Kreme, a US doughnut chain opened this morning in Smáralind shopping mall in Kópavogur, a municipality of Reykjavik. People started queuing up at 10 pm last night because the first two hundred customers get free doughnuts for one year.
Last year, hundreds of Icelanders queued up outside the first Dunkin' Donuts branch in central Reykjavik for the same reason.
The Krispy Kreme branch is the first one in Iceland and situated inside the Hagkaup shop inside the mall.
