Jensína becomes Iceland's oldest living Icelander
Jensína Andrésdóttir became Iceland's oldest living person today at 109 years and 70 days old.
The former record was Sólveig Pálsdóttir from Höfn in East Iceland who was 109 years and 69 days old when she passed away. The fourth Icelander to have reached the age of 109 was Guðríður Guðbrandsdóttir who was 109 and 13 days old when she died.
Jensína has been at the Hrafnista home for the elderly in Reykjavik for twenty years.
