Say farewell to winter with salsa

Tonight is the last night of winter, according to the old Icelandic almanac. Tradition dictates that you say farewell to winter in some way or another, preferably with festivities. Many just use the opportunity as tomorrow is the first day of summer (and a holiday) which makes tonight better than most Wednesday nights to party.

To celebrate the end of winter, there is a Latin/salsa concert at Kex Hostel, Reykjavik. Acclaimed musician Tómas R. Einarsson performs along with a band (many of them famous musicians in their own right) all the songs from his album Bongó, released last year.
