Alicia Keys wears Icelandic designs

"It's been four years since I founded Saga Kakala and over that period of time I asked three Icelandic designers to collaborate," says Ingibjörg Gréta Gísladóttir. "Our latest collection was presented at Design March and hit the shops this autumn. Our largest challenge has been to promote our products abroad. I previously worked at New York Fashion Week and was able then to build up a very strong network of contacts. My greatest ally was Kelly Cutone, who has published best selling novels and been a judge on America's Next Top Model."

Cutone was enchanted by the scarves, their design, and the fact that they were from Iceland.

"The scarves went all over the place to great response. I chose Alicia Keys from a large group of stars and she got a shipment of scarves in June. She loved them and has now appeared in public wearing one of them."
